We have planted grazing canola to bulk up an old lucerne pasture. The aim is to increase the stocking rates during autumn and winter.

We have planted 50ha of the grazing canola, which will provide additional feed for the ewe hoggets during this. The body weight of surplus hoggets sold in the spring is a key income stream for our business. To achieve the highest price, these ewes need to be well grown out and ready for the buyer to join.
